GEL Metal Coating
X-Sealant GEL RJ male connectors provide sealing
and corrosion protection for indoor and outdoor
equipment. The X-sealant RJ male connectors
are designed to seal the individual wires
and contacts within both the male RJ connector
and the female RJ connector it is mated with
once they are connected together. Xmultiple's
X-Sealant male RJ Connectors are filled with
protective GEL. Small pin holes in the GEL
filled area of the connector permit the GEL
to be disparsed in the female RJ connector
when the connector is inserted/attached to
a female connector. Additional GEL is placed
in the X-Sealant male connectors wiith the
use of a small GEL tube which attaches to
one of the pin holes. GEL is squeezed into
the male connectors GEL cavity and the excess
is released in the female through the small
pin holes. GEL sealants are designed for multiple
contact insertions and removals. The soft
nature of gels allows them to re-heal and
reestablish their seal. X-Sealant GEL is a
specially formulated, high molecular weight
connector GEL used as a dielectric compound
and is a superior corrosion protectant. The
thin viscosity of X-Sealant Anti-Corrosion
Gel makes it easy to coat and prepare a barrier
of protection that will outlast conventional
X-Sealant Anti-Corrosion GEL provides a superior
oxidation barrier and lubricant for all electrical
plugs, connectors, contact pins, and wires.
It remains pliable and will not harden or
crack. It exhibits excellent film strength
and long life protection against rust and

environment chemical sealant describes the
metal coatings more accurately as conversion
coatings, because it produces a protective
layer or film on the metal surface by means
of a chemical reaction. The chemical coating
is applied without changing the part dimensions.

Xmultiple is unable to disclose the ingredients
used in the chemical coating sealant. Therefore,

place the units in harsh environments to see

often does this Gel have to be re-applied?
The number of times plugs are inserted will
determine the number of times gel must be
applied. If the gel is applied and the male
plug is inserted, you will never have to reapply
the gel again until 2 years or more of service.
This is under normal useage conditions in
a protected environment. If multiple insertions
occur you will have to reapply the gel with
each insertion. This is our recommendation
however this gel is design to not run, drip
or evaporate, so this is not absolutely required
to reapply gel and the determination must
be made by the user.
How many insertions
of the male jack can there be before the Gel
needs to be re-applied? Answered
What is the recommended best practices
for applying the Gel?
The 3oz tube was designed to make the application
of the gel easy for the user. The gel is applied
directly from the tube into the female connector.
A small drop inserted on the contact pins
inside the female is all that is required.
The male plug is then inserted into the connector.

our jacks in the manufacturing process?
Yes, Users can have the Gel applied during
the assembly process of their products.
