Function Of LED Indicators for Battery Level Display

The XP1 LEDs display the battery capacity level when used in combination with the adjacent button. There are three LED lights and each will illuminate separately to display the current capacity level of the battery. The button must be pushed to see the battery level status. To test the battery level of XP1 when you press the button, different LEDs will be illuminated to show different battery level status as following:

  • RED LED: 25% or less
  • BLUE LED: 25% to 75%
  • GREEN LED: 75% to 100%

Button Functions for Charging Your XP1 and iPhone/iPod

The button has two functions which are listed below.

1. When you press the button, you can see the battery level.

2. When you press the button for 3 seconds, it chooses to charge the iPhone/iPod or the XP1-Power.

Automatic Operation and Button Operation

Automatic Charging Operation

When iPhone/iPod is connected to the XP1 and the XP1 is connected to a computer, it automatically (no need to push the button) will charge iPhone/iPod and a blue LED illuminates.

Button Charging Operation

To charge the XP1 you press the button for 3 seconds and the XP1 charges and a blue and red LED will illuminate.

When XP1 is fully charged a blue and green LED illuminate.

Protection Mode¡XWhen Input voltage is more than 5.6V or less than 4.2V, the three LEDs illuminate. it shows the input voltage is unsteady and XP1 goes to protection mode.

XP1 Low/No Power Battery Level Mode (40 Second Wake Up Procedure) - When the XP1Power is not used for a long time and it is not charged, if you connect the XP1Power to a PC or AC adapter, the three LEDs (green, blue, red) will light at the same time for 40 seconds. After this 40 seconds, the XP1Power's red and green LEDs will turn off, and only the blue LED light will be on. This shows the XP1Power is now out of the low or no battery level mode and is working properly. The XP1Power uses these 40 seconds to wake up the battery and prepare it to start to charge.

Does the XP1Power charge the iPhone/iPod and XP1Power simultaneously?

No. When a user plug the cable into the USB connector into a computer and the apple connector into the iPhone or iPod - a blue light comes on. This tells you that the iPhone is connected properly and charging. If a user pushes the button on the XP1Power for 3 to 5 seconds they will see a blue and red light come on. This means the XP1Power is charging. The user can press the button and toggle back and forth. The XP1Power does not power the device and the XP1power simultaneously because this would limit users from have the capability to select themselves and power what they want when they want. It also would slow down the process of charging process for either device if both were charging at the same time. We believe users want control of the charge process. We made it as easy charging as pressing a button to toggle back and forth between the XP1Power and the iPhone/iPod.

Connecting Your XP1Power USB Connector to your PC To Sync

iPhone/iPod users must connect the XP1Power to the PC first, then connect the iPod/iPhone to XP1Power. This sequence of connecting will assure your iPhone/iPod will sync properly.

Note: if you connect your iPhone/iPod to XP1Power first and then you insert your XP1 to PC you will have need to press the XP1 button. Push the button to display the XP1 blue and red lights and then press the button again to switch back to charging the iPhone/iPod. The XP1Power blue light will illuminate. By using this sequence you will be in a sync/charging mode and your synchronization will perform properly.
