Xmultiple have produced the following statement as a guide to its distributors/Customers on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH).

The REACH document states that it is the responsibility of the importer to comply with REACH. All EU countries have a responsibility to comply.

The REACH document has two important parts concerning our connectors, Registration and Notification.

Registration

We have considered the document and do not believe that the importers of our connectors have a responsibility to register any substance with ECHA. The criteria to register are that the product is a substance or Article. The connectors are clearly an article and do not release any substances as part of their normal working function.

Notification

ECHA have officially released the list of 15 the substances that must be notified to them if they are in our connectors.

As this list has only just been released this week November 2008, Xmultiple will now be undertaking the task of contacting a third party company to do the chemical analysisˇ¦s to check if any of these substances are in our connectors.

We will notify you of the outcome when this has been completed.
